Drew Davidge, P.Eng.
Regional Manager, Simcoe NorthMy Role and Responsibilities
My name is Drew and I am a Professional Engineer with experience in design, project management, tender preparation, and contract administration on a wide variety of civil engineering projects. I am currently the Regional Manager for Simcoe North and responsible for Burnside’s public sector projects in much of Simcoe County and the District Municipality of Muskoka.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to be a part of many successful projects in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Early in my career, I was focused on road and highway design for provincial highways and access roads to remote communities, First Nations, and resource projects in Western and Northern Canada. This work often involved the design of all-weather roads to replace existing winter ice roads to provide more reliable and predictable transportation.
I have focused on linear infrastructure projects, since joining Burnside in 2010, including road widening and reconstruction, road rehabilitation, active transportation, and upgrades and expansions to municipal watermain, sanitary sewers and stormwater management. For this infrastructure, I have managed projects from the Environmental Assessment stage through detailed design and to the contract administration phase of the project. My accumulated experience allows me to understand and meet the needs of a diverse client base including, lower tier rural municipalities, single-tier cities, counties, and large regional municipalities.
My Interests and Hobbies
When not at work, you are likely to find me spending time with my family, playing sports (slo-pitch, skiing, and running) or coaching youth sports (ski racing and baseball).
