Our Thunder Bay Office is Opening Soon!
The City of Thunder Bay has played an important role throughout our history as a key hub to support our northern Clients and projects. So, it feels very appropriate that the Company is putting down some roots in the City. Our organization has been working in the Northern Ontario and Manitoba region since the early days of R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited (Burnside). For a very long time, Burnside was one of only a few engineering firms servicing Indigenous Northern Ontario communities.
Since 2022, we have been actively diversifying our client base in and around the Thunder Bay Region. This has included the delivery of several transportation, municipal and land development projects in the Thunder Bay area, and we are pleased to count the City of Thunder Bay as a key client.
This move to diversify our clients and services is in no way intended to diminish our longstanding commitment to serving Indigenous communities throughout Northern Ontario and Manitoba. As such, our Thunder Bay location will be co-branded as both Burnside and Neegan Burnside Ltd. (Neegan Burnside) reflecting our intention to serve Indigenous Communities, Private, and Public sector clients in the Region.
Our team is energized by this investment in the City of Thunder Bay and looks forward to the potential to strengthen and grow both our client base and our Burnside team locally. Greetings! My name is Adam Rose, P.Eng., Vice President of Engineering Services with R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited and Neegan Burnside Ltd., and I’m proud to be the inaugural Branch Manager of our Thunder Bay office, opening in the Fall of 2025. As a Lakehead University graduate and lifelong Thunder Bay resident, I am very excited to grow our team and expand our services, support and contribute to the well-being of the regional communities, and continue to offer our exceptional customer care, strong values, and technical services to clients across the North and West region from our new Thunder Bay location.
