2017 Christmas Donations

Every little bit counts. Burnside staff demonstrate how helping those in need in their communities can bring Christmas Cheer and a sense of hope for many this holiday season.

Barrie office staff adopted a family from The Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family program and to raise money for the family, fun events were held in the office. All fundraising efforts amounted to a $1,200 donation.

Calgary office staff donated $500 to support a biathlon program for youth aged 12-18 in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet program a part of The Bow Valley Branch of the Navy League of Canada which promotes interest in maritime affairs through youth programs.

Collingwood office and staff sponsored a local family through the Collingwood Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family program and ran a blood drive for Canadian Blood Service.

Guelph office staff sponsored a local family (food hamper and gifts) through the Guelph Food Bank and completed a blood drive to help increase blood reserves for the holiday season.

Mississauga office staff completed a toy drive and fundraising campaign, with the Branch Office matching the donation amount, for a total of $1690 raised for the Salvation Army Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre. The Salvation Army Family Life Resource Centre is an emergency short term shelter in the Brampton area for women and their children escaping partner violence.

Newmarket office staff ran a fundraising campaign for Blue Door Shelters this holiday season. Blue Door Shelters provides emergency shelter for the homeless population of York Region. A donation of $1,120 was made by a combination of staff and Branch Office funds.

Orangeville office staff with additional branch office funds, filled 12 food hampers for the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance program provides practical assistance to those in need at Christmas time.

Pickering Office staff participated in a food drive for the local food bank and provided toy donations for the Salvation Army and CTV Toy Mountain Campaign. The Toy Mountain Campaign collects and distributes toys to families struggling to make ends meet in the Greater Toronto Area.

Stratford office staff donated $100 to the Kiwanis Christmas Basket Fund. The Kiwanis Club of Stratford paired with a few other organizations deliver baskets filled with a traditional Christmas dinner to those in need.

Wingham office staff participated in a food drive for the local food bank.

Winnipeg office staff donated $300 to Christmas Cheer Board Winnipeg. Christmas Cheer Board Winnipeg delivers Christmas hampers to individuals and families in need.
